Even before he knew where he was going to end up, Brad Hompe has made sure he has plenty of education in his background. As of now, Brad can point tohis Bachelor's Degree in criminal justice and psychology, earned at Winona State University in Minnesota. He also has a Masters in Public Administration (MPA), obtained from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. He also has a lot of less formal academic education as well. For example, he has earned certifications in law enforcement from Alexandria Technical College in Alexandria, Minnesota, as well as Chippewa Valley Technical College in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, and he has a Firefighter I certification, earned from Southwest Technical College in Fennimore, Wisconsin.

Of course, that is nothing compared to the education Brad Hompe received from his extensive corrections experience. If experience is the best teacher, then Brad is even better educated than most. These days, Brad Hompe is a Corrections Complaint Examiner and Investigator for the Wisconsin Department of Corrections (WI-DOC), but that is just the cherry on the sundae of his career. By now, he has worked at nearly every level of the corrections system on his way, including his time as a prison warden and at every step along the career ladder. He started as a corrections officer, before being promoted to sergeant, lieutenant, captain, unit manager and deputy warden, on the way to becoming a warden.
